A Sweet Time at the 2026 Norfolk County Fair!

The 2026 Norfolk County Fair brought together great honey, hardworking local beekeepers, and plenty of bee-friendly fun! The Haldimand-Norfolk Beekeepers’ Association was delighted to showcase the skill, care, and community spirit behind every jar.

A golden competition!

One of the sweetest sights at the fair was the honey judging table. Rows of golden jars showed just how much variety can come from the hive. Entries in liquid white, liquid golden, liquid amber, and granulated honey put local beekeepers’ work on display—and reminded us that honey is far more than just one colour or texture.

Our members filled the shelves

And what a display it was! Our members brought together jars of local honey, specialty honey products, and bee-inspired goods. The shelves were packed with the results of countless hours spent caring for bees, harvesting, preparing, and packaging. Every item told a small part of our local beekeeping story.

To everyone who stopped to look, chat, learn, or purchase something: thank you for supporting local beekeepers!

Bee serious? Not all the time!

We also made room for a little fun. Brenda stepped into the beekeeper photo cutout for a cheerful fair moment—proof that sharing our love of bees can come with a big smile!

A huge thank-you

Our thanks go to the association members who entered honey, contributed products, prepared displays, and volunteered their time. Events like this are possible because people are willing to work together and share what they know.

We’re looking forward to adding more photographs and memories from the fair. Until then, keep supporting local honey, local beekeepers, and the pollinators that make so much possible.
